TUITION. It's that four-letter word that contains more than four letters. It sucks that tuition is so sky high these days. Following is a snapshot of all of the public and private universities and colleges located within Washington state.

The most expensive university in America charges over $60,000 per year for tuition, and that's NOT including books, student fees, and lodging. Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania will run a student $60,872 a YEAR. Yikes! California and all of the East Coast states like Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York have the most expensive tuitions in the country.
The most expensive public university in Washington state is Washington State University in Pullman, according to CollegeSimply.com, and the most expensive private university is University of Puget Sound in Tacoma.
