Meet Olivia: CMN Miracle Family of the Month for June 2025
It's our pleasure to introduce you to the children in our Yakima Valley who have made our area brighter with their charisma, personality, fortitude, and courage. This month, it is our pleasure to spotlight Olivia Lott!
Olivia Lott was born on October 25, 2015, and began receiving services through Children’s Village in infancy. She was diagnosed with MED13L syndrome, a rare genetic condition affecting her development, mobility, hearing, and speech. Olivia received physical and feeding therapy, and was seen by specialists from Seattle Children’s Hospital, including neurodevelopmental, orthopedic, and genetics teams. These services continued until she was about four years old.
Now nine years old and in 3rd grade at Martin Luther King Elementary School, Olivia receives her therapies through the Yakima School District, with continued support from physical therapy for specialized equipment like wheelchairs and orthotics. She is non-verbal and has limited mobility but is making significant progress in strength and communication using assistive tools.
Olivia is a joyful and resilient child who loves school, riding the bus, camping, swimming, and playing with musical toys. She has been recognized for her hard work and determination
Olivia’s story is one of strength, love, and inspiration. Her presence brings light and joy to those around her, and her family is thankful for the support and resources provided by Children’s Village. We love hearing stories like Olivia's. We have more CMN Miracle Family of the Month as well you can catch up on.
Services through Yakima's Memorial Foundation and Children's Miracle Network can ensure our children and their families can get the help and services they need. Find out more at the memfound.org.
