Meet Kennedy, The Miracle Child Thriving Against The Odds
One thing we love to do each month is highlight our friends in the valley through our Miracle Families who have received help and support from our local CMN services like Yakima Pediatrics, Children's Village, and so many more amazing services that are available right here in Yakima.
Today it's our pleasure to introduce you to our friend Kennedy.
Kennedy is a vibrant, goofy, and loving 4-year-old who brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. She's happiest when she's swimming, dancing to music, or surrounded by her favorite people. Her smile is infectious, and her resilience is nothing short of inspiring.
Kennedy was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, which affects balance, mobility, and speech.
Meet Sawyer - CMN Miracle Child of the Month
Despite these challenges, she continues to amaze everyone with her determination and progress.
Thanks to the incredible care at Children's Village, Kennedy has made remarkable strides.
She began in Early Intervention and now receives physical, speech, and feeding therapy. Occupational therapy is on the way.
She's gone from army crawling to standing and taking assisted steps, and her communication and motor skills have grown tremendously.
