Sawyer’s Journey From NICU To Thriving 8th Grader Is Remarkable
It's time for another Children's Miracle Network Child of the Month and this month is all about Sawywer Maloney.
Sawyer Maloney was born about 2 month early as only 32 weeks back on May 4th, 2011.
Meet Olivia: CMN Child of the Month
He was born with underdeveloped lungs. He had a tube (intubation), a reliance on oxygen as well as a feeding tube.

His first three month of life were spent in the NICU.
Fortunately, Yakima is fortunate to have amazing care right here in town. Both with Saywer, medically speaking, and empowering comfort and confidence to the family.
Once he was out of NICU, he could continue with follow-up appointments at Children's Village.
Meet Rhys: CMN Child of the Month
With his follow up appointments and quality care he received he didn't need further appointments past the age of 2.
Meet Josue: CMN Child of the Month
This was when he was born almost 15 years ago.
Now, Sawyer is an 8th grader and has a passion for theater and acting. He is also very involved with his church.
His hobbies include playing musical instruments, drawing, Legos, and has a passion for dinosaurs.
He hopes to record music and start a YouTube channel.
We love hearing stories like Sawyer. We have more CMN Miracle Family of the Month as well you can catch up on.
Services through Yakima's Memorial Foundation and Children's Miracle Network can ensure our children and their families can get the help and services they need. Find out more at the memfound.org.
