Lisa and I have hit a milestone in our relationship. To be honest, this is completely uncharted territory here. Something I have never experienced before in ANY relationship. One that many couples go through. Now it’s hit us. Lisa is now de-zitting me. Yep, she’s the marrying kind.

We have been together for almost a year-and-a-half. Our families went to church together growing up. Lisa is also 8 years younger than me. She was best friends with my sister growing up, but we didn’t really know each other that well.

We both got married to our spouses and lost track of each other. We both went through divorces just a couple years apart. Then in 2019, we got re-acquainted. We saw each other at church and it’s been all us from then on out.

We are now in Yakima building a life together and it’s been awesome.

But yesterday, our relationship hit a whole new level. It all started rather innocently. We were cleaning around the house when she stopped me in our walk-in closet and stared at me like she was coming for a kiss – ah yes, when of those romantic movie moments where the music is tender, the shot is in slow motion, you know the kind.

That’s when it happened. She squeezed my nose zits. You know, those blackhead thingies? She let out a “Yeah, that was a good one!”, she said satisfied of her conquest. Then she just walked away.WAIT, what just happened?!??

In my previous marriage that would have NEVER happened. I was pleasantly stunned and stood there processing for a few moments and found myself smiling. Wow. THAT, just happened – and it was good.

So, congrats to us. We just hit another relationship milestone because apparently, love knows no bounds.

All My Best,
