While Kelowna Munched, Pippins Crunched — This One’s in the Bag
The Yakima Valley Pippins were back in action Wednesday night at Yakima County Stadium. Coming off a four-game losing streak, this apparently was a very much needed homecoming for the Pippins because they crushed Kelowna, 14-6.
If you sit and watch the game in the picnic section of the ballpark, you're right behind the visiting team's bullpen. That's where I watched the game last night and couldn't help but laugh at this Kelowna player with his face in a bag of Cheetos. This was during the fifth inning while his team was in the field. I don't blame the guy -- love Cheetos, too. But apparently, Kelowna should've done a little less of this and a little more playing last night.
The Pippins are back in action tonight against Kelowna at 6:35 p.m. at Yakima County Stadium. Listen live on our sister station, 1460 ESPN Yakima.
