We promise: It won't rain this week!

Get ready for a perfect evening this Thursday (July 14) when the Robbie Walden Band, plus Slings and Arrows, perform at Downtown Summer Nights on North Front Street.

The Robbie Walden Band hails from the west side, but they've played Yakima before -- they were at DSN just last summer. Walden's music, according to the band's website, is "a collection of originals blending Texas Red Dirt and Spaghetti Western with his native Pacific Northwest Rock and Country sounds."

Slings and Arrows, meantime, is a Nashville-based duo that formed in 2014. Zach Broocke and Marlaina Youch's songs combine elements of rock, blues and country. They take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by the Robbie Walden Band at 7:30.

The free, all-ages, kid-friendly show, runs 9 p.m. -- be sure to sample the great food and beverage garden while the music plays. Kids can enjoy free arts and crafts, courtesy of Yakima Neighborhood Health Services.

Downtown Summer Nights is sponsored by Stewart Subaru and powered by Chinook Music Festival.
