Seattle Residents Are Clearing Store Shelves As They Prepare For “Snowmageddon”
Forecasters have been talking about the snow headed our way for the last week or so. Seattle is also expecting quite a bit of snow, even MORE snow than what is forecast for the Yakima valley.
According to KOMO News in Seattle: "Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for much of the (Seattle) region as 4-8 inches of snow is expected around the Puget Sound region over the next 36 hours, with isolated spots of even higher amounts."
There is one UW researcher that believes the follow up storm to what is happening this weekend has the potential to CRIPPLE the Seattle area. He calls it “snow apocalypse.”
So with all this chatter about the amount of snow Seattle could be getting, residents there are preparing... as they should. Some stores are seeing hour long check out lines and empty shelves.
