If you are not a morning person or you absolutely love your sleep, then you are probably a fan of your snooze button. I am right there with you, I am known for hitting that button more times than once some mornings! Here, are 4 tips for getting out of bed...

  1. Get Enough sleep (insert eye roll) of course this is number one! Unfortunatly this tip is easier said than done, but it is one that is the hardest to hold to! Especially, with all the good TV shows that are on late at night. But, studies do that if you get less that 6 hours of sleep a night it gets very hard to wake up in the morning.
  2. Put your alarm on the other side of the room. Which sounds funny but think about it, you have to literally get up and out of bed to shut it off so since you are already up just walk to the shower!
  3. Gradually set your alarm for 15 minutes earlier than the day before, which also makes a lot of sense! It's like the concept of working out, start two days a week, then move to three and then four.
  4. Try the "inverted snooze method"  for this you set your alarm clock for 15 minutes earlier than you need to start getting ready and for that time you can do whatever you want. Watch funny videos, enjoy a cup of coffee, make breakfast anything you want you just have to get out of bed.

So this week I am going to try these 4 get out of bed tricks and see if they help me get up and going in the morning! Ill keep a video blog and we will see what works!
