People love a great throwback. When your favorite movie is being played in theaters again or a snack from your childhood makes a surprising return, bringing you back to a day of no-responsibilities and carefree goodness, it's always a good time.

When restaurants bring back a food item of someone's past, that's bound to make headlines as well.

That's exactly what Taco Bell just announced.

5 nostaltic items are returning to select Taco Bell locations and, while they're good, they're still not the best item Taco Bell has ever had of all time ever, forever, for infinity.

But first, let's look at the items they are bringing back.

What nostalgic items are Taco Bell bringing back for a limited time?

Taco Bell is bringing these items back.

The Tostada. This dates back to the 1960s as it was one of the first, original Taco Bell menu items.

The Green Burrito. Apparently this was a huge hit in the '70s.

The Meximelt. Those it lists it as an '80s favorite, I remember ordering these in the early '90s as well. I loved them and happy to see these make a return for a limited time.

The Beef Gordita Supreme. I remember when these super-large tacos launched in the '90s that used a flatbread instead of taco shell. They always looked intimidating.

The Caramel Apple Empanada. Representing the year 2000 the deep fried apple and caramel treat was spectacular. Another I'm looking forward to.

These items, as of now, are only available at select Taco Bell locations in Southern California but there's a chance they may make it to other Taco Bell locations later this year. Here's hoping they do and we get them here in Yakima.

The only issue I have, though, is they're missing the best items of all time -- the chili cheese burrito. I loved these and would love to see them bring these back.

I also remember when, for a short time, they called them the 'chilito' until they learned quickly that chilito was slang for... well, I'll let you Google that on your own time.
