Taco Bell Is Killing off the Double Decker Taco and Other Items

Taco Bell just announced they're cutting nine menu items next month ... and a couple of my favorites are on that list.

Leaving the menu will be Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco, the Fiery Doritos Locos Taco, the Double Decker Taco, Beefy Mini Quesadilla, Chips & Salsa, Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller, Double Tostada, Power Menu Burrito and XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito.

The Double Decker Taco is one of my favorites. I had to check the date it was first introduced ... 1995. It started as a promotional item, but was added to the permanent menu in 2006.

I also have been enjoying those Power Menu Burritos, but now that will be leaving, too.

Sounds like Sept. 12 will be the date of the change.
