That FaceApp We Are All Using Comes From Russian Start Up
You can't scroll social media lately without seeing a pic of an older version of your friends, family and favorite celebrity. Heck, even I've jumped on board with checking out an older version of myself. You can create the picture by using an app called "FaceApp", it's free in your app store. You download it to your phone, upload a photo and using some pretty impressive artificial intelligence, the app makes you look old.
As fun as it is, there are some that have concerns about the company behind the app and their questionable privacy policy.
The company behind the app is based in Russia and the privacy policy, we all agreed to when using the app, seems to be pretty loose. Like the app uploads our pictures to Russian servers and they can do whatever they want with those pictures. It doesn't seem like they are doing anything bad with our pics, BUT there's nothing stopping them. Read more here.
