Those Classic Animal Cracker Boxes Are Now Cage-Free… Here’s Why

Even animal crackers are going cage-free now. Nabisco just changed the classic packaging on their Barnum's Animal Crackers... so instead of showing the zoo and circus animals in cages, now they're roaming free in a field. I'm not going to lie, I am a little bummed out a bit. It's still the classic cookie, but.. but.. it's not the same! lol.

I remember eating these things as a kid, and my kids eat them all the time!  Same cookie, different look.

Apparently, PETA hit up Nabisco a few years ago and asked them to remove the animals from their cages and set them free and Nabisco agreed.  The new boxes should hit store shelves soon.
