Voting Is Open for the Toy Hall of Fame

It happens every year around this time -- toys that have paid their dues sitting on a shelf and withstanding the test of time are put to a vote for the Toy Hall of Fame.

These toys could be joining the Hall of Fame with other toys such as the baby doll, Barbie, Rubik's Cube, and the yo-yo. The voting is up to a panel of 23 people who make up the National Selection Advisory Committee. So how do you get to vote? Well, the public's collective votes will count as one person of the advisory board. Pretty cool, huh?

This year the nominees are:

• Care Bears
• Coloring books
• The Fisher-Price Corn Popper
• Jenga
• Magic the Gathering cards
• He-Man
• Matchbox cars
• My Little Pony
• Nerf guns
• Risk
• The top
• The smartphone (which I personally do not get nor do I agree with, but to each their own)
