Walmart Closing 22 Stores — WA and OR is on the List

Well, it's time to play everyone's favorite game: 'Is My Local Store Closing or Not'.

This happens every so often that a publication like Business Insider will get the details on a major chain with multiple stores closing so we need to rush to find out if Yakima is on the list or not.

Is One of the Walmart Stores in Yakima closing?

Don't fret, it's not.

Washington State is only closing one of its stores and it's in Everett so you nave nothing to worry about.

Oregon is also on the list as they are losing two stores in Portland.

Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, New Mexico, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin are all on the list to lose a location or two. Some like Illinois have several Chicago locations they'll be losing.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
