Have You Tried This Washington State Invented Sandwich?
Sandwiches are a universal item you can find in any of the 50 states.
Different states have some regional sandwiches that were invented there like the cubano from Florida, the hot brown from Kentucky, and so many more.
But what sandwich is Washington known for?
Love Food has listed close to 80 sandwiches from all the states.
Some states have more than others like New York and California, but Washington is one to just one sandwich.
And it's about the most Washington State sandwich as you could imagine.

To me, that makes it even more unique.

My other idea would have been the fry bread taco, but is a taco a sandwich? That can be debated, I suppose.
Back to the subject at hand, this smoked salmon sandwich seems easy enough. Smoked salmon with a zingy tartar sauce all between two slices of bread. I could see people people would like it and it is Washington so something with salmon makes the most sense.
