I drive past a 7-Eleven daily as I head to/from work. Washington Lottery has the digital display in the window that shows the current jackpot amounts. Sure, the hundreds of millions in the jackpot for Powerball and Mega Millions would be nice to win, but I like to play the Lotto ... it's two chances for $1 (Mega Millions & Powerball are $2 for ONE chance) and it's only six numbers. No extra "powerball" type number.

Anyway, the Lotto typically sits around 2 or 3 million dollars. The jackpot increases by about $200,000 if there isn't a jackpot winner. The jackpot is now at $11.3 million!

I did a little more research on this. The Lotto jackpot has not been won since Nov. 28, 2018. According to the Washington Lotto office in Olympia, they "have awarded 1,232 $1,000 second-tier prizes since then."

The $11.3 million jackpot is the highest ever for this game. There were two instances previously where the jackpot reached $11 million -- on March 11, 2006, and and on May 26, 2012.

The next draw is Saturday (June 22). If you're feeling lucky, go get yourself a ticket!
