Wet Socks And Wind In Yakima As Storms Hit The Coast
You may have seen it pop up in the news or on your feed about the west coast rainstorms and flooding that we could be experiencing in Washington. Well, mostly Western Washington along the coast line including Seattle, but how about Yakima? It's pretty rainy here, too. Is Yakima safe from those flooding conditions that they're experiencing on the western side of the state?
As far as Yakima goes, yes, we'll get some rain and maybe even a bit of flooding in the usual parts of town, but it shouldn't be too bad.
Not near as bad as some are having on the west coast. It's unfortunate what's happening over there with the current weather conditions.

Here's hoping those towns and those people are safe and have safety exercises for if something gets too incredibly bad or difficult to be in.
Yakima, on the other hand, is having a bit of wind for a bit as the weather is kind of warming up compared to how it has been the last couple of weeks. I'm not scientist but if hot air is rising and cold air is sinking, that air has to be pushed somewhere and, there you go, wind. Well, it makes sense to me, at least.

Pleasant with temperatures in the 50s but under wet conditions won't make it very fun. It doesn't matter how nice the temperature is, as soon as you get your socks all wet it's game over and will certainly dampen your mood (pun 100% intended).
Yakima should be fine but when flooding does happen we will let you know through the app.
