Women Secretly Enjoy Housekeeping, Survey Finds

I never thought I would hear this, but a recent survey has found that ... wait for it ... women love to do certain household chores!

Really?

The survey, conducted by Zoflora disinfectant, found that one in three women secretly love doing housework. Some of the 2,000 women involved in the survey admitted that they love cleaning because it gives them a sense of pleasure and achievement. But nearly four out of 10 of those who love cleaning confessed it was a secret passion and they would never tell their other half they enjoyed doing housework.

My mom was a single parent when I was growing up, so a lot of the household chores fell to me. I also had to baby-sit my little brother, and to this day I don't really enjoy household chores, nor do I have a favorite.

Still, the survey identified 10 favorite chores:

1. Vacuuming
2. Tidying
3. Wiping surfaces clean
4. Doing laundry
5. Hanging things on the line
6. Changing the sheets
7. Dusting
8. Washing up
9. Ironing
10. Mopping the floors
