Arguing with your kids is not something any parent is new to -- we all argue with our kids. If it's not with a 2-year-old over why they can't hit the dog with a hockey stick, it's with a teenager over why they have to be home at 9 p.m. I would be willing to bet, however, that most of us are arguing with our kids more than we think we are!

A new survey found that a parent will have 2,184 fights with their children every year. When you break that down, that is six fights a day! The survey also found that the average fight lasts about 8 minutes, so our kids are making us waste 50 minutes a day on arguing! Do you realize how many other things we could get done in our day with that time? I could go to the gym, watch part of a movie, I could even take a nice, hot, relaxing bath!

According to the survey, the No. 1 reason we fight with our kids is for children not eating everything on their plates, followed by untidy rooms and children saying they are hungry but refusing to eat anything healthy.
