My 11-year-old, Jackson, came home from school after their Valentine's Day party with a single pink rose. I asked him who gave him the rose, expecting the answer to be the girl he's liked for years. But to my surprise it wasn't!

My little Shaylee has been playing AAU basketball since she was in first grade. She can make baskets during practice, but has yet to make one during a game.
