A smile is something that people first see on a lot of people -- it's noticeable. What a lot of people forget is how much work goes into a smile, and I'm not just talking about maybe braces, maybe dental work/ reshaping ... the list goes on.

Something that has greatly affected my teeth is my anxiety. As most of you know, I suffer from PTSD that tends to give me horrendous nightmares most nights of the week. I wake up tired and my jaw HURTS. For the longest time I didn't know why -- until yesterday.

I went to the dentist and was told that I am a night grinder. So much so that I no longer have canine teeth -- they are just blunt flat teeth and I now need a night guard. Well, that would explain why my jaw is in a constant state of tiredness and soreness.

So if you suffer from any form of anxiety, it is extremely important to not ignore your teeth. I would have never thought that I was a grinder until I was told. Do yourself a favor and see a dentist!
