Bull-Pen Reheated 4/30: Should She Keep The Check?

We received an email from "D.B" in which she states that she just received a check in the mail for $3,000.00 made out to her ex-husband and herself from some sort of civil settlement from a short sale on a house years back.   She's been divorced from her ex for over 7 years now.  She mentions that he has always been mean to her and that she just wants to keep the money and not let him know about it.  She can forge his signature no problem.  She calls this a moral dilemma and asked for our help.
