Michele and I are making surprise visits to random Bull listeners this week, awarding tickets to see Brad Paisley June 30 at White River Amphitheatre in Auburn.
As we head into Watershed Weekend #2, The Morning Bullpen surprised Julie with a random act of Bullness. It started with Kris, another Bull listener, donated their Watershed tickets back to the radio station. It was a perfect opportunity to pay it forward on an unsuspecting listener.
The Bull Pen is all about paying it forward. And since we had another extra set of tickets to the second weekend of Watershed, we thought we would surprise one of our most loyal listeners
The Morning Bull Pen's in a giving mood this week.
We have a couple of passes for the second weekend (Aug. 5-7) of this summer's Watershed Music Festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre to give away, and we've decided it's the perfect occasion for a Random Act of Bullness.
No matter what day your birthday is, you're not alone. Millions of people have the same birthdate.
Today (Sept. 4) is mine. It's also Beyonce's ... just saying.
But it turns out a little guy named Gabriel, who goes to school just down the road, is 8 today...
With Random Acts of Bullness, we spread a little love around the Yakima Valley. It could be someone who needs recognition for going above and beyond. It could be a family who can't afford to buy those tickets but really needs a getaway.
From time to time, the Morning Bull Pen likes surprising folks around the valley with what we call Random Acts of Bullness -- such as giving rodeo tickets to kids or passing out free coffee at espresso stands.
We never figured on it happening the other way around, though.
Cefus and Michele headed out this morning for another Random Act Of Bullness, surprising listeners with free coffee at 40th Ave. Espresso. Listeners had to know the code word "Michele Is The Best" to get a free cup of java ... which seems a little suspicious to me.
Our listener Ashley sent me this email:
Hey Michele,
I have two little boys who love listening to the three of you every morning on the way to day care. Every time you are giving away PBR tickets, they tell me to call over and over and are sad when I don't get through.
This morning we successfully completed our first "Random Act of Bullness" by awarding Yakima's Kelly Grove Baker a pair of tickets to see Miranda Lambert at the Tacoma Dome this Friday.
