If you're unfamiliar, doomscrolling is the art of the continued scroll on your phone, skimming through all of the information at a glance or watching several short videos in a row, one after another, hoping to find something decent but never to find anything of value.
If you grew up in the 80s and 90s, you probably did this to your TV flipping through channels, but we called it Channel Surfing.

Our friends at All About Cookies found that Washington ranks in the top 5 states who have the most people who suffer from doomscrolling.

Washington State ranks in at #2, actually. Only just under the other Washington being Washington D.C.
Not only is Washington State bad at doomscrolling, they are curious enough about the idea that it's also a highly searched term along with, of all things, Stock Market Crash.

Everyone has reasons for doomscrolling. Some for financial health, some for mental health, some for bad news in general. And, what's worse, thanks to the algorithm, the stuff you watch mostly will show up more and more each time you visit.
If you're tired of doomscrolling and trying to break that habit, they suggest a VPN and scrubbing your information from the Internet could be a great place to start to avoid anything or anyone keeping track of your online habits.
