Food Experts Named This Washington Shop Best for Doughnuts

Doughnuts seem to be one of those universal joys. A quick snack, some use them for breakfast, perhaps a reward at the office, or just because you want a quick hit of serotonin there's always a reason to grab a doughnut.

Everyone has their favorite doughnut and their favorite spot in town to grab doughnuts. But what about all of Washington?

Foodie website Love Food found the best doughnut spot in every state. Here's what they say about Washington State.

Love Food said for the best doughnuts you'll have to find yourself in Seattle at a place called General Porpoise.

Instead of carrying a huge menu full of items to have you mull over deciding what to order, they specialize in a much smaller menu of just a few doughnuts that go through rotation every so often, including seasonal flavors.

I've never been here but reading up on them it seems all of their doughnuts are cream-filled with different amazing flavors.

Just cycling through their social media I saw pistachio cream, strawberry cheesecake, plum, pecan and praline, and so many more that it made my mouth start to water.

If you love custard-filled doughnuts, I think you'll love this place. I'll also have to check them out for myself.

General Porpoise has a few locations in Seattle. Find them in Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, and one near University Village. They also have an Amazon Sphere location but that's via appointment only, which is interesting.
