Yakima’s Dining Dreams For 2026 Are Really Heating Up
A new year in Yakima means new hopes and dreams for the conveniences of living in a town like Yakima.
We have just about everything one could want from plenty of schools to an arena used for entertainment to all the shops we have, all in a town with little traffic compared to a big city.
There are some places, however, that Yakima is lacking.
Yakima does have a lot of dining options but there are some national chain restaurants that Yakima doesn't have, yet. The types of places where if you happen to be out of town one might say, "ooh, I've heard of that place and have always wanted to try it."
Here are the 5 restaurants that people in Yakima hope open in 2026.

Chick-fil-A
A favorite by many who live in towns that have one. Yakima would do well with a Chick-fil-A. Yes, there are talks of one opening in Yakima, but until it finally does officially open, Yakima is hoping for a Chick-fil-A.
In N Out Burger
A California staple known for its quick turnaround for burgers and fries. Though originally exclusive to California, they did finally start spreading out a little into other states like Oregon and even Washington State got its first In N Out Burger. Maybe Yakima isn't too far off.
Raising Cane's
Raising Cane's was a rumored restaurant coming in the old Sonic building on 1st and Nob Hill as it was marked as such on Google Maps. Although it's not the case anymore, it did make people wish for it to be true and still hope for Yakima to get a Raising Cane's.

Fazoli's
Think 'fast food for Italian' with spaghetti, meatballs, and plenty of other pasta options that you can dine in or order through the drive-thru. It'd be great if Yakima had a Fazoli's.

Waffle House
It's unlikely that Yakima, let alone anywhere in Washington State, would get a Waffle House. A southern tradition where you can find a Waffle House basically anywhere in the south for great breakfast and waffles and low, low prices. It would be nice to see them expand.
