News broke last year about Yakima finally getting a Chick-fil-A. Well, technically Union Gap, but still.

Out side of the initial report, we haven't heard much beyond that.

Sometimes we'll hear about a new restaurant opening up because, we'll, it's literally being built at the time.

No News May Be Good News

I haven't heard any updates or progress from this so I thought I'd reach out directly to Chick-fil-A to find out more information.
Maybe they're holding back on us?
Maybe they're keeping it cool and waiting for a big reveal?
Maybe they're not even sure and letting things happen organically?

Well, I asked the good people who represent Chick-fil-A corporate and I just heard back.

I received an email reply from Claire Charhon who handles new restaurant openings for Chick-fil-A through PR firm Jackson Spalding.

"We are always evaluating potential new locations in the hopes of serving existing and new Guests great food with remarkable service. While we hope to serve the Yakima community in the future, we do not currently have any locations to confirm. Visit the Chick-fil-A Press Room to learn more about our food, our people and the latest Chick-fil-A news."

So, as of this time, mum's the word when it comes to Chick-fil-A opening a new location in Yakima.
Though Yakima was the only city mentioned and maybe Chick-fil-A wouldn't have Yakima on their database in favor of Union Gap which is its own town.
I did reach out specifically for Union Gap but still haven't heard back.
